Blender Grass Tutorial

Download the source file here if you have problems.blend file

Start.




1. Add a plane mesh to a new scene. (space)


2. With the plane selected go into object mode and onto particles then add new.



3. Select hair from particle type then change the different fields as shown.





4. In children select faces then change the fields.


5. The mesh should now look like this.

camera- render


6. Add a green material to the mesh and change the strand setting.


7. The render should look like this.


8. Finally add some lights then render.

Very good tutorials. But my grass look very bright. To much lights.

To adjust the settings go to where u would change the colors of an OB object and change the brightness

Just a quick question. Why is it that my grass .....renders great but you can see threw the plane?? So when I render it shows the world color blue. Hrm.
